The lack of coverage of this week’s Third Strike on the Alex Jones Channel should concern all Americans. (I had been lobbying YouTube regarding several videos for sometime and YouTube finally took down a video from The Alex Jones Channel this week for violating its privacy policies.)
While nation reels from Facebook’s betrayal, might it be possible that Google and YouTube are protecting and promoting Alex Jones?
Facebook has exposed data from 50 million Facebook users to a researcher who worked at Cambridge Analytica, coming forward to admit that social media sometimes harms democracy.
Cambridge Analytica (now under major investigation), and doing a very weak job of denying its Russia ties, worked for the Trump campaign and has been found to be tied to former Trump campaign advisor, Roger Stone.
Roger Stone was either quit or fired from Trump’s campaign around the time that he started appearing on The Alex Jones Show on infowars.com. He left the campaign publicly to go participate on infowars.com, which quickly evolved into Trump’s major and mighty propaganda machine.
My ex-husband, Alex Jones, who had up until that time represented himself to be a Libertarian Constitutionalist, and who had never generally endorsed a presidential candidate other than Ron Paul suddenly went full-on neocon (as congressman Paul himself pointed out).
Alex came out full-bore for Trump in February 2016, and was quintessential in helping Trump get elected, with Trump going on Alex Jones’ show and praising Alex for “his excellent reputation.” Trump hopped on the Conspiracy bandwagon and has been channeling Alex for some time.
(As a sidenote: prior to Roger Stone’s involvement and for several years, Alex was a frequent guest on Russia today. Not only that, but Alex was found to have repbulished over 1,000 articles from Russia state-run Russia Today on infowars.com.)
Roger Stone came on the infowars.com scene around the time of the election. He is a regular cohost and contributor and frequently uses the infowars.com to push propaganda related to Trump’s presidency.
What we have learned this week is social media’s power in politics and to question its motives.
The media blackout on this issue is concerning for several reasons:
2. The removal of the video, which should have led to the takedown of The Alex Jones Channel (according to Alex Jones and heavily reported on in the news) has apparently had no affect on The Alex Jones Channel. The channel is up, live and active at the time of the writing of this article, with over 2.3 million subscribers.
3. The media reported extensively on the impending doom for The Alex Jones Channel, yet have shown little to no interest that a third video was removed by YouTube, which should have resulted in the channel being taken down (according to Alex Jones).
These leads me to ask why the channel hasn’t been taken down:
Was Alex lying? Did he lie to drive the lengthy donation drive to sucker his viewers into outrage and sympathy (and to open their wallets) with outcries of censorship?
Does YouTube is affording special circumstances and leniencies for the Alex Jones, Roger Stone Trump propaganda machine/The Alex Jones Channel?
As a reminder to all Americans: an ex-google engineer recently came forward and said that he had written an algorithm that recommended Alex Jones billions of times to some of the most vulnerable people in the nation.
The lack of coverage is alarming and points to a possible serious irony: do the YouTube and Google that Alex Jones regularly attacks for privacy issues and censorship actually coddle him, afford him special circumstances.. and even promote him?
It has been my experience that YouTube really drags its feet on protecting me and my family despite glaring privacy violations. Now that they have taken the video down, why is the channel still up?
Kelly Jones is Alex Jones’ ex-wife and was with Alex Jones for 15 years. She has extensive knowledge of Alex Jones’ business practices and media appearances, including countless times on Al-Jazeera and Russia Today. Russia Today would call the Jones’ home at all hours asking for Alex to come on as a guest. Kelly Jones is an outspoken Family Court Justice activist who won a Jury trial to be Primary Parent in 2017. She is outspoken about Family Court corruption, pointing to Alex Jones’ vexatious litigation and the coordinated Aggravated Perjury of multiple experts that led to her unlawfully losing her children as an illustration of the fact that America desperately needs Family Court Reform. Kelly Jones has a strong Civil Rights/Free Speech Appeal on file with the First Tx Court of Appeals. She is suing Alex Jones for Defamation and Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress.
